Cookie Policy
Last updated: 21 July 2026
This Cookie Policy describes how Verbotix uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use related storage such as localStorage for client-side session helpers required by the app.
2. Cookies and storage we use
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| verbotix_refresh | HttpOnly refresh cookie to renew signed-in sessions securely | Up to 7 days (or until logout) |
| verbotix:auth_token | localStorage access token for API calls (dashboard) | Until expiry / logout |
| verbotix:last_audit_id | Remembers your latest scan so you can open or claim the report | Until cleared |
| verbotix:confirm:* / preview:* | Caches confirm/preview edits for the public scan flow | Until cleared / browser storage limits |
| Preference keys | Sidebar and UI preferences | Until cleared |
3. Essential vs optional
Authentication and security cookies/storage are essential — the Service cannot function without them. We do not currently rely on third-party advertising cookies. If we add analytics cookies later, we will update this page and request consent where required.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear site data in your browser settings. Signing out clears auth tokens and the refresh cookie. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login and dashboard access.
